Parking instructions for Finnpark facilities

Parking instructions for car parks

Entry

Drive up to the gate, press the button of the ticket machine and take the ticket, which states the time of arrival. The boom will not be raised until you extract the ticket.

If you are a monthly customer, you insert your card into the same ticket machine, which will then return your card and raise the gate.

Parking

You can park your car in any vacant parking space unless it has been separately indicated as being reserved for a certain party. You can then take your time running your errands, as you pay for parking on departure.

Payment

When you return to your car, first use the automatic payment machine. Once you have inserted your ticket into the machine, it will display the parking fee. You can pay the fee in cash (notes or coins) or with the most common credit cards. Once you have made the payment, the machine will stamp your ticket as paid. If necessary, you can obtain a receipt for the transaction. In order to avoid an additional fee, you must exit the car park within 15 minutes of stamping the ticket. If 15 minutes is exceeded, you can pay the additional fee to the automatic payment machine by means of the same car park ticket.

If you have a monthly card, you can return to your car directly without using the automatic payment machine.

Exit

Fast Exit signs indicate that the car park employs a registration plate identification system. In these car parks, the gate opens automatically. Do not insert your ticket into the gate system.

Feed the paid ticket into the ticket machine, which will not return the ticket. The gate will be raised and you can exit the facility.

If you have not made the payment or more than 15 minutes has passed from the transaction, the ticket machine will request you to pay for your parking and the gate will not be opened. In problem situations, press the quick-call button on the machine. The gate can also be opened manually from the control room of the car park.

Parking instructions with the value ticket

Enter the car park and take a ticket with the entry time printed on it from the machine at the gate. When leaving, enter the ticket into the machine. The machine will display the cost of the parking. Enter the value ticket into the machine. If the duration of your parking exceeds the time charged on your value ticket, you must pay for the extra time. The machine returns the ticket for exiting the facility. The value ticket can only be used once in one predefined car park.

User instructions for the Parking Key

The Parking Key is inserted in the ticket machine when entering and exiting the car park. The gate opens, as the ticket is returned.

The period of validity is counted from the first use. The Parking Key must be used for entrance and exit alternately in order for it to function properly.

Paying for your parking with the Hectronic payment machine

All ticket machines feature an instruction plaque. The left side of the plaque lists the location of the ticket machine, the hours during which parking is subject to a charge, the maximum parking time, and the parking fee. The instruction plaque also contains contact information for problem situations and failure reports.

Display

The display of the ticket machine guides you through the payment transaction and tells you what to do next. In the standby mode, the display lists the time and asks you to make the payment.

Payment with coins

Feed the coins into the coin slot. The accepted coins are listed in the instruction plaque. The widest range of accepted coins include 10-, 20- and 50-cent coins as well as 1- and 2-euro coins. If the machine does not accept your coin, it will discharge it into the covered ticket and coin bay.

Payment with a credit card

If you choose to pay by credit card, insert the card into the card reader. The ticket machine will register your credit card, after which you can extract the card. Then enter the sum by pressing the credit card button. The credit card reader is protected by a cover.

Buttons

Green button. Press the green button after entering the desired payment sum to print out the ticket into the ticket bay.

Red button. By pressing the red button before the green button, you can interrupt the payment transaction. In this case, the ticket machine will return your coins into the ticket and coin bay.

Credit card button. After inserting your credit card into the card reader and extracting it, you must enter the payment sum with the credit card button. One press adds 20 cents, two presses add 40 cents, and so on.

Ticket and coin bay

The ticket and coin bay is located below the instruction plaque. It is protected by a cover you must raise manually. The cover will be lowered again when you release it.

Tickets

Place your parking ticket in a visible spot under the windscreen. The Hectronic ticket machines automatically print out a reminder slip. Detach the reminder slip from parking ticket and take it with you. You can use it to later check the end of your paid parking time.
